Otium - OTIUM is an original hard rock band from the Louisville, KY area.  Its name is taken from Latin,
 and translates to something that one does by choice in their own leisure time in order to bring balance
 to their day and to life.

 The completion of the present cast of characters was culled in the latter part of 2002 and early 2003,
 and consists of Ben Stein, Scott Schamel, Andy Kaiser, and Rob Payne.  Stein, after many failed attempts
 at writing for children's programs - most notably - Captain Kangaroo - decided to call it quits in the 
 television business. Schamel, a death defying b.a.s.e. jumper and specialist in pipe bombs & other 
 explosives, has recently broken a nail in an accident and subsequently called it quits.  Kaiser, a lifelong
 merchant of both German floating key chains & Egyptian water fountains, has recently bailed due to a
 fear of water.  Payne, who has been a popular figure from the World's Strongest Man contest (as seen
 on ESPN) has also been ousted from his profession attributable to his possession of Meta- human powers.

 OTIUM most significantly wishes to stress the importance not of the image, but the sound, feel, and 
 integrity of the music, as it is the universal communicator.
