Eclectic - Three years ago, ECLECTIC's lead singer Brendan Kavanaugh told a white lie that sparked
the birth of ECLECTIC. He booked a gig at a festival before he actually formed a band. Kavanaugh's
lie brought together a unique combination of musical talents whose growth and appeal are proving
they are destined to be much larger than Louisville.
In 2002, ECLECTIC signed a three-year management/development contract with WiseSmith Management
Group, Inc. They released the album Tables Turned, November 15. The first single from the album, Breathe,
is in regular rotation on WLRS 105.1 and was among the top five most requested songs for more than six
weeks.
Kavanaugh is as unpredictable as he is talented. If he's up on the bar or crawling through the crowd it's a
tame night, because he has been known to take his microphone into the street.
Guitarist Justin Smith is incredibly talented beyond his age. He plays each chord with more exhausting
passion than the previous one. His guitar solos awe the crowd and spark Kavanaugh's free-styling lyrics.
Terry Smith is hard-hitting on the drums, and bass guitarist Jamie "Weez" Richardson completes the talented
group adding depth to their sound. Each bring their own diverse musical background, making their sound
indescribable as anything but ECLECTIC
