Common Ground - This collective of six young men has quickly grown from an upstart Nashville
area band to a consistent crowd pleaser in southeastern region. The six musicians have honed their
sound through hours of rehearsal, extensive stage experience, and studio dates that culminated in
their first release. The result is a potent blend of funk, reggae, hip-hop, rock, r&b, and imaginative
 improvisation.

The brain-child of guitarist/songwriter Rocky Brown, Common Ground is an organic and irresistable
package of dancable grooves, dope ryhmes, anthemic vocals, and pop-rock sensibility that has
garnered a diverse following of nightflys and college hipsters. The outrageous and charismatic
vocalist/MC Jason Schneider is an expert at crowd control, regularly whipping even cold audiences
into a head nodding groove frenzy.
The band is driven by the deft funk chops of drummner Jim Merrit, bassist Jeff Perratta, turntablist
Chris Sellars, and topped off by the heady solo explorations of guitarist Phil Hebert.
With a firm foundation in breakbeat mayhem, Common Ground plays hits of their own formulation as
well as guaranteed party favourites. Appealing to fans of 311, the Roots, G Love & Special Sauce,
Sublime, Beastie Boys, Bob Marley, and many others who dig deep-pocket grooves, dope ryhmes,
and positive vibes, Common Ground fans are quickly finding that their name is more than just a
 name, but an apt description.
